Rounded Release 0.1

Rounded Theme

Well, I finally caved. I’m releasing one of my themes/mods. I called this one “Rounded” - probably because of the slightly rounded header which isn’t present in this download for who knows what reason.

If you plan to use this theme, I ask a few things:
1. You leave the Google ads at the bottom as kind of a donation.
2. You link back to amacgenius.com somewhere.
3. If you modify it, do not redistribute it under “your work”.
4. That if something isn’t showing up right, you email me for support.
5. You enjoy the theme!

Now that that is all out of the way, let me give you the download link. You can use it at will, but it is protected under a creative commons license (CC), and I’d like it if you would just use this and not try and make a profit, although I ask you leave my Google ads.

Anyways, here’s what you really want:

    One small problem…

You need to specify which Creative Commons license you’re releasing it under. CC has lots of licenses; it is not itself a license. Pick one. ;)

    Otherwise, great news.

Got a link to where I can choose one? ;)

    http://creativecommons.org/ — there ya go.

And BTW, this font is incredibly hard to read in Camino.

    This is the link: http://creativecommons.org/license/

Man! Your conditions are certainly strict. It was hardly the nicest theme I ever saw and you think that people are going to keep ads on it as a donation back to you. You have said it is under a CC licence but your wording is suitably wishy washy for it to be interpretated in numerous ways “I’d like it if you would just use this and not try and make a profit”. It sounds like you want a non commercial licence. But you also say: “If you modify it, do not redistribute it under “your work”.” So it sounds like you want this:

    http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-nd/2.5/

But if I were you I would get a bit real. And remove the Google Ads (or stop expecting people not to remove them). And allow people to make derrivative works on a share alike basis (or even more free). Come on the web is about sharing!
