According to CNET News, Apple will ditch IBM’s line of PowerPC processors in favor of Intel microprocessors. “Apple plans to move lower-end computers such as the Mac Mini to Intel chips in mid-2006 and higher-end models such as the Power Mac in mid-2007,” asserts CNET. The announcement is expected to be made this Monday during Apple’s CEO Steve Jobs’ Worldwide Development Conference (WWDC) keynote speech.
Update Saturday, June 4, 5pm MST: The Wall Street Journal (registration required) claims to have confirmation of CNET’s report:
“CNET on Friday reported that Apple would announce the transition plan June 6… An industry executive familiar with the matter, contacted Saturday, verified that schedule.”
Update Sunday, June 5, 5am MST: Further claims of confirmation come from The Inquirer. Only one more day to go…
What do you think about this? Is it a good or bad move for Apple, will Mac OS X soon be seen on PC’s? Share your thoughts.

The answer to this is real simple :)…… Death to Steve jobs let him burn in hell. Apple Computers is a unique company that makes and sells there own stuff… This intel Cr@p is stupid worthless and apple is good how it is now. OS X is something special. That’s it thanks you and go **** your self apple
