Well I just woke up (I think I am getting pneumonia) and missed the whole “fun new products” announcements. Well here’s an update:
• New Mac mini (Core Solo)
• iPod HiFi (Suped up stereo)
• Leather iPod Case (Vegans upset)
Now, everybody predicted the Intel Mac mini, but other than this - these announcements were total bullshit! That and now the Mac mini is out of the $500 price range with the basic model being $599. Apple totally got too much hype and these disappointing products disappoint me, and I’m sure I’m not alone - anyways that’s all I have a dr appt later, so I’m gonna be like an 80’s haircut and GET OUT!

I thought it was pretty lame too… nothing a regular Tuesday update couldn’t have achieved.
Severely disappointed…
Oh shut up with the whining. Sure, they’re “average” new products, but so what? What were you all expecting to happen, Steve popping out of a giant cake & saying, “Look, the new iPod video tablet!” If you expect more then is realistic, you will always be disappointed. That applies to life in general.
Life is disappointing at times, it’s the original rollercoaster. We want to believe the urban legend or desire that a Mac will be affordable at maybe $400 or even less, then reality sets in and it’s not. Consider the “dark side” and how much it costs to get a windows machine that will REALLY run windows and the applications well, not just adequately but well.
Will a windows machine ever run well..?
So true, so true.
Larry, with the blog post, you said it.
Oh well, back to the drawing board!
I like the new Mac Mini. It’s only $100.
The leather cases and the iPod Hifi, however, are overpriced. Who the hell is going to pay $99 for a leather case that doesn’t even allow you to control an iPod? And $350 for a fucking speaker? Did Apple switch from pot to alcohol, or what? (From “Cult of Mac” - “The people who created Macintosh smoked pot, the people who created Windows drank alcohol.”)
Although I know it’s pointless beyond futility, & will not be received well by anyone, I’d love to take this time to quote someone… “Bitch, bitch, bitch.” -Grandpa Simpson.
Peace & trivial complainers,
Derek.
