Due to my own mental blocks
It really frustrates me you should know
Why is it so hard am I not good enough

First poem I’ve written in a LONG time.
You have character, great emotions, intelligence & a great LOVE for others!
EVERY Woman in the US is really seeking ALL those personality traits in a man!
Do you know why I know this to be perfectly true? Because I also have these personality traits & it took SO LONG for any nice woman to know that I had those great qualities…
Why? Cause I couldn’t see those qualities within myself. I was always looking at what others PUSHED onto me…
You are too BIG! You’re UGLY! And ALL those other negative qualities…
Then a kind older man told me that ‘I was OK!’ He also told me that some women ‘actually’ liked larger men & all the personality qualities that I possed!
Huh?
And that ‘IS’ the truth! Most women like their Fathers. When their Fathers are big men, those women will also usually like big men in their lives. It’s a biological & psychological reality.
So, I kinda started over again… seeing all of my positive qualities & really turning away from my other negative qualities!
And yes, after some searching, I found a very sweet young women who enjoys most of the things in my life… But most important, she ACCEPTED me - just who I was!
Oh! I’m still a little bit BIG, but I was NEVER really ugly & my sweet wife even thinks I’m cute!
We have been married for over 26 years now. We have three Sons - my eldest Son in working in Atlanta with a big salary, my middle Son is a Resident Doctor & my youngest Son is a Senior in a Southern University.
Plus, my wife & I enjoy each other! And we have a lot of fun together… even at our RIPE OLE age…
Lastly, YOU ARE OK !!!!

Even when they kinda ’screwed up’ a bit, I still told them that they were OK & ACCEPTED by their Daddy !!!!
When you have ‘Mental Blocks’ or think you are ‘Screwing Up’ - please remember that I still ACCEPT you as a Man! YOU are OK!
