Poem: Am I?

Am I? - Laurence Anderson

I know I can’t have you
I know you can’t be mine
But I long for your connection
Every single night

I long to talk with you
And hear about your day
Whether it was all mundane or if it was just the same
I want to be with you
I want to feel your touch

But I can’t have you
Due to my own mental blocks
It really frustrates me you should know
Why is it so hard am I not good enough

Am I what you’re looking for?
Am I?
Am I?

Guess not…

First poem I’ve written in a LONG time.

AMG turns 2!

Yuppers that’s right, today, October 23rd 2006 is the 2nd year that I’ve had amacgenius.com online. The blog first started on October 23rd, 2004 - powered by pMachine and a shitty design, filled with emotional ramblings and postings about the “Mac web”.

In June of 2005, I moved the blog to Wordpress and have been using that installation ever since, (view the first post) and I’ve been loving it! I think the blog has evolved a lot in it’s 2 years around, and I think I’ve improved myself as a writer and learned to see things in a multitude of ways.

Here’s the current statistics thanks to WP’s admin panel:

There are currently 333 posts and 1,656 comments, contained within 14 categories.

That’s quite impressive, here’s to another 333 posts!

Homecoming 2006

DSCF3397.JPG, originally uploaded by amacgeni.us.

This picture is of Josie (female), Lucca (top left), and skoker (top right) at this year’s homecoming dance.

I have to admit that this dance was better than last year’s by a million except once again I didn’t dance, didn’t talk to any of the women I wanted to.

Although I did get a few females (Josie included) to dance “on” me while I was sitting down ;) - everybody looked good, me included, had a good time, great music, not that bad of a DJ, etc.

So yeah, that was my homecoming in short.

Snow!

School!

Ok, here’s how my days break down and how I like the class(es).

Period 1: American History/Government - Mrs. Whittcomb is amazing, she’s flamboyant, makes tons of noise, goes offtopic and all that, plus I get to sit next to Carly and Cartman (amazing friends) and the work is easy seeing as it’s all out of the book.

Period 2: Microcomputer Applications - Mrs. Moore is leaving in like 6 days cuz she’s having a baby but the class is so damn easy it’s going to be an easy A for me, like today we typed notes and changed the bullet typ in word, OMFGRUSERIOUS!? But it’s like a screwoff class where I can just go on the ‘net.

Period 3: English 11 - Mrs. Roemer swears her ass off (tastes like shit anyone?) anyways, I think the class is gonna be difficult for me due to the fact I always sucked at english ever since grade school.

Period 4: Gym/Studyhall - I.hate.gym.end.of.story. but the teacher lives near me and she’s nice. If it’s not an A,C, or E day I have Study hall with Mr. Hataway (old global teacher) which is fun, cuz well it’s a study hall :p.

Lunch: I have what’s called 1st Lunch (go figure) it’s great, tons of my friends and us combine two tables and just chill.

Period 5: Studio in Art - I hate art, drawing, painting and the likes but Mr. Van Ostrand is a really cool guy, intelligent, uses big words, and he always looks at me when he talks (I’ve been told by past students that means I’m his “focus”), but either way.

Period 6: Environmental Science - OHHHH JEFF SHELLEY! I promised Mr. Shelley I’d take that class cuz he teaches it, and while I love Biology more than Envrio I think it’ll be a good course.

Period 7: I either have Enviro lab or I have studyhall, haven’t had lab yet, and study halls are with MACK DOGGY (Mr. Mackey) we all think he’s gay but he’s so funny (and my old French III teacher, yeah I parle francais assez bien).

Period 8: Geometry - I absolutely hate Mrs. Yoviene, and I failed Geo last year by 1 point (64) so I have to take it again, not only is she my homeroom teacher, but I got stuck with her for Geo again, but she’s been nice so far, so maybe I’ll actually do my HW this time!

That’s how my day goes, I kinda like school this year, friends, great teachers, and funny moments!
