Naughty or Nice

Don`t let the title fool you… it`s no Christmas present I`d want! As I was searching the net for some FREE web tools, I come to find that about 8/10 to 9/10 of the results are porn sites. I understand that a lot of people go to them *grumbles* but think about it… what if some little kid was doing a research project and that`s what came up? I was talking to an AOL user friend of mine, and she was telling me how that`s why she has AOL, so her mom can block her from almost every site there is on the account of the fear that there`s inappropriate material in the site. I also talked to a few guy friends of mine, and come to find that they`ve looked at it intentionally before. I`ll tell you what it does to people… firstly, it kills people. It scars them for life, and now whatever someone says most people misinterpret. [ex.] I was talking to my friend Alex about this guy Cameron (who she likes) and she was like, “I really want to ask him to work on a project with me.” And I told her, “You should do it!” And she got all.. weird about it. Secondly, looking at it makes more guys want to do things to girls. And yeah… a lot of girls are s*uts, but you can`t blame them! …Right? :P It bugs me. So much. When I went back to my elementary school to visit a few months ago, the kids were holding hands as they were walking out of class. (Frienship hand-holding) It really made me happy, to know that they`re living life up without thoughts being thrown into their mind.

I thank: Google. Without their preferences, which allow you to filter out most of the material out, it would be one nasty net-world. I wouldn`t want to live it…

Most of my friends and I are happy about filters/blockers. Even my AOL friend, who has almost every site blocked. She says that it keeps her from having to deal with the thoughts. And because of that, she`s so carefree and youthful.
